Billing & Wallet

How to fund your advertiser wallet, read invoices and transactions, and understand how wallet balance relates to campaign budgets on Wayo Ads.

Overview

Wayo Ads uses a wallet-first billing model. You add funds to your advertiser wallet, then activate campaigns that reserve budget from that balance. You pay for validated performance as campaigns run. For CPC/CPM, budget locking, platform fees, and spend pacing, see Budget & Pricing.

Before You Can Pay

Complete your Business Info before your first wallet top-up. Wayo uses this legal billing profile for invoices and compliance. This is also where you choose USD or EUR.

  • Open Business Info from your advertiser menu.
  • Provide the required legal and tax details for your account.
  • Choose USD or EUR. That becomes your wallet currency for deposits, invoices, and every campaign you create. Creators who earn on those campaigns are paid in the same currency.
  • Once complete, the wallet top-up form unlocks.
  • Deposits started before completion may resume automatically after your profile is validated.
  • Changing currency later can be blocked if you have a pending deposit, locked campaign budget, or remaining wallet balance.

Wallet Balances

Your advertiser wallet has two numbers that matter day to day:

Available

Funds you can use to activate new campaigns or increase budgets on drafts.

In campaigns

Budget currently locked for active or paused campaigns (shown as In campaigns on the wallet page).

Manage your wallet from Advertiser menu → Wallet. The advertiser dashboard also shows available balance and locked totals.

Adding Funds

Top-ups are processed securely through Stripe:

Enter an amount

Minimum $0.51 (Stripe card floor). Quick presets ($50, $100, $500) are available on the wallet page.

Pay by card

Enter card details in the Stripe payment form on the wallet page. Wayo does not store full card numbers. You are charged the amount you enter.

Wallet credited

After Stripe confirms the balance transaction, Available increases by the net amount (charged amount minus Stripe’s processing fee). Until then the deposit may show as Pending and cannot fund campaigns.

Stripe’s card processing fee is deducted from the amount you charge — it is not added on top. Example: if you deposit $100, your card is charged $100 and Available rises by the net after Stripe finishes processing. The exact fee appears on wallet history once Stripe finishes processing.
If you leave payment mid-way, you can resume or cancel the pending deposit from the wallet page. A successful payment may still show as Pending until Stripe’s balance transaction is available.

Wallet vs Campaign Money

Deposits and campaign charges are separate steps. This table shows how money moves:

StepWallet effectInvoice
Wallet top-upAvailable increases by net credit after Stripe finishes processing (may show Pending first)DEPOSIT (wallet deposit)
Campaign activationAvailable decreases by budget + platform fee + tax (if any); In campaigns increases by budget only (fee/tax are charged immediately, not locked)BILLING (campaign budget lock)
Validated performanceLocked budget consumed as creators earn (see Budget & Pricing)
Campaign ends / cancelledUnused locked budget returns to Available

Platform fee and tax (when applicable) are applied at campaign activation — not when you top up the wallet.

Invoices

Download PDF invoices from Advertiser menu → Invoices:

  • Wallet Deposit — one per successful top-up (DEPOSIT).
  • Campaign Budget — issued when a campaign budget is locked at activation (BILLING).
  • Filter by type, campaign, or date range; sort by date, status, or amount.
  • View or download individual PDFs, or select multiple invoices and download a ZIP archive.
DEPOSIT invoices show the amount charged, Stripe’s processing fee, and the net credited to Available. BILLING invoices may include platform fee and tax at campaign activation.

Transaction History

The wallet page lists recent ledger movements with date filters (7 / 30 / 90 days or all time). Common types:

  • Deposit — wallet top-up (Pending until Stripe finishes processing, then credited net)
  • Balance held — budget locked for a campaign
  • Balance released — unused campaign budget returned
  • Fee — platform fee when campaign budget is locked

Unused Funds

When a campaign ends, unused locked budget is released back to your Available balance automatically:

  • When a campaign completes, is cancelled, or passes its end date, remaining locked budget returns to Available.
  • Released funds stay in your wallet for future campaigns.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I pay before launching a campaign?

Yes. Your wallet Available balance must cover the campaign budget plus platform fee and applicable tax when you activate. Top up first from Advertiser menu → Wallet.

Why is Available less than what I deposited?

Three common reasons: (1) Stripe’s processing fee is deducted from the charged amount, so Available rises by the net; (2) a recent deposit may still be Pending until Stripe finishes processing; (3) funds locked in active or paused campaigns appear under In campaigns, not Available.

How do Stripe fees work on deposits?

You are charged the amount you enter. Stripe’s fee is deducted from that charge; Available increases by the net after Stripe finishes processing. This is separate from Wayo Ads platform fees applied when you activate a campaign.

What is the difference between DEPOSIT and BILLING invoices?

DEPOSIT invoices document wallet top-ups: amount charged, Stripe processing fee, and net credited to Available. BILLING invoices document campaign budget locks (plus fee/tax lines when applicable at activation).

Can I run campaigns in both USD and EUR?

Not on the same advertiser wallet. You pick one currency in Business Info. All deposits and campaigns stay in that currency. Creators do not pick a currency — they earn in whatever currency each campaign uses.
