Create Campaign: Launch your first Wayo Ads campaign

Step-by-step guide for advertisers. Covers wallet requirements, campaign types, the 4-step form, and saving as draft vs. activating immediately.

Overview

Campaign creation lives in your advertiser dashboard. Open Create Campaign from your advertiser menu. The form has 4 steps: Identity → Budget → Targeting → Review. You can save as a draft or create and activate immediately. Activation locks only the campaign budget under In campaigns; platform fee and applicable tax are charged immediately from Available (your wallet must cover budget + fee + tax at submit).

Before You Create

Advertiser account

Sign up with the Advertiser role. Campaign creation requires you to be signed in as an advertiser.

Fund your wallet

The create page checks your wallet before showing the form. If your available balance is $0, you see a message asking you to add funds first — go to Wallet in your advertiser menu. Keep enough balance to cover budget + platform fee + tax when you submit.

Prepare your assets

Link campaigns need a landing page link. Video and Shorts need a folder of creative files on Google Drive, OneDrive, or SharePoint. Optional: brand logo (PNG, JPG, or WebP, max 2 MB).

Campaign Types

Choose one type in Step 1. Pricing model and required fields change based on the type you select.

Link campaign

Pays creators for validated tracked link traffic. Requires a landing URL creators will promote.

CPC (cost per click) — you set a CPC in Step 2.

Video campaign

Pays creators for validated YouTube video views. Creators submit an unlisted video URL for your review. Requires a creative assets URL and a minimum video duration (1–10 minutes).

CPM (cost per mille / 1,000 views) — you set a CPM in Step 2.

Shorts campaign

YouTube Shorts only — not TikTok or Instagram. Creators submit an unlisted Short for your review. Requires a creative assets URL and a maximum duration (15–60 seconds).

CPM — you set a CPM in Step 2.

Step-by-Step

  1. Step 1 — IdentityPick campaign type (Link, Video, or Shorts). Enter title (required), niche (required — 26 categories), optional description (max 2,000 characters), optional brand logo upload, and type-specific URL: landing URL for Link, creative assets URL for Video/Shorts. Video and Shorts run on YouTube only.
  2. Step 2 — BudgetSet total budget (minimum $10, capped by your available wallet balance). The campaign is billed in your wallet currency (USD or EUR from Business Info). Enter CPC for Link campaigns or CPM for Video/Shorts. Review the cost breakdown: campaign budget, platform fee (%), tax (if applicable), and total to pay. Set a campaign end date (required, a future day — the campaign ends at the end of that day).
  3. Step 3 — TargetingConfigure type-specific settings: Video — minimum duration (required), optional daily view cap (minimum 100 if set). Shorts — max duration (required), optional required hashtag, vertical video (on by default), optional link-in-bio requirement. Add optional instructions for creators (max 5,000 characters). Optionally enable campaign localisation (country required when enabled; city and radius up to 1,000 km) — shown on the listing and usable as a marketplace filter, not auto-matching by creator profile.
  4. Step 4 — ReviewReview all sections, edit any step if needed, then choose Create as Draft or Create and Activate. The form validates all required fields and wallet coverage before submitting.

Budget & Fees

These limits apply in the campaign form. Soft warnings (amber hints) may appear when CPM/CPC is outside typical ranges, but they do not block submission.

For CPM, CPC, platform fees, and spend optimization, see the Budget & Pricing guide.

Minimum budget$10.00
Maximum budgetYour available wallet balance (up to $1,000,000 as a safety limit)

Targeting & Settings

Campaign localisation is optional. When enabled, you must select a country. You can refine with city and a radius slider (default 50 km, max 1,000 km). That location appears on the campaign and creators can filter /campaigns by country or city — it does not auto-hide campaigns based on a creator's profile location.

Creative assets URL

Required for Video and Shorts. Use a secure link on Google Drive, OneDrive, or SharePoint.

Video minimum duration

Required for Video campaigns — choose 1 to 10 minutes.

Shorts maximum duration

Required for Shorts — choose 15, 20, 30, 45, or 60 seconds.

Creator instructions

Optional notes field (max 5,000 characters) visible to creators reviewing your campaign.

Draft vs. Activate

On the Review step you have two options. Both require the form to pass validation and wallet balance checks.

Create as Draft

Saves the campaign with DRAFT status. Budget is not locked at creation. You can edit and activate later from your advertiser dashboard.

Create and Activate

Creates the campaign, locks the campaign budget under In campaigns, charges platform fee and applicable tax immediately from Available, and sets status to ACTIVE. Creators are notified when activation succeeds. If funds are insufficient, the campaign stays DRAFT and you see an error with the shortfall amount.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why can’t I access the create form?

If your advertiser wallet available balance is $0, the page shows an insufficient funds message instead of the form. Add funds from Wallet in your advertiser menu, then return to Create Campaign.

What URL formats are accepted for creative assets?

Video and Shorts campaigns need a secure link to Google Drive, OneDrive, or SharePoint with your creative files. Other file hosts are not accepted.

Can I change the campaign budget after creation?

Budget is locked once a campaign is activated and spending begins. For draft campaigns, you can edit fields including budget before activating.

What happens when the end date passes?

The campaign stays active through the end of the selected day, then is marked completed and unused budget is returned to your wallet. After that, creators stop earning: Link clicks and Video/Shorts views no longer count.
