Security: Protect your account on Wayo Ads

How sign-in works, how to manage your password and devices, email verification, notification settings, and where to find privacy information.

Overview

Wayo Ads uses secure sign-in through Wayo Auth and gives you tools to control your account — change your password, manage passkeys, review active sessions and trusted devices, and verify your email. Most security settings live under Settings → Security in your dashboard or profile menu.

You sign in to Wayo Ads from the Sign In page. Click Sign In to open the secure Wayo login page, then return to Wayo Ads automatically. You can use the method linked to your Wayo account — email and password, Google, Apple, or a passkey when you have registered one.

  1. Open Sign In from the site header or any protected page.
  2. Continue on the Wayo login page with your usual method (including Continue with passkey when available).
  3. After success, you land on your creator or advertiser dashboard.

Settings → Security

Open Settings from your profile menu or dashboard sidebar (Account → Settings). The Security tab is where you manage your password, passkeys, active sessions, and trusted devices.

For profile and notification preferences, see the Account resource guide.

Password

If you signed up with email and password, open Settings → Security → Change Password. Enter your current password, then your new password (minimum 8 characters), and click Update Password.

If you signed in with Google or Apple, your password is managed in your Google or Apple account — Wayo Ads shows an info message instead of a password form.

Passkeys

A passkey lets you sign in with your fingerprint, face unlock, or device PIN instead of typing a password. Passkeys are stored on your device or password manager and work on the Wayo Auth login page.

  • Open Settings → Security → Manage passkeys (opens Wayo Auth).
  • Add a passkey on a supported browser (Chrome, Edge, Safari, Firefox) over HTTPS.
  • Next time you sign in, choose Continue with passkey and confirm with your device.
  • You can remove a passkey anytime from the same Auth page.
Passkeys are optional and separate from Google/Apple sign-in. Keep at least one other sign-in method if you remove your only passkey.

Active Sessions

You can stay signed in on multiple devices at the same time. Settings → Security → Active sessions lists every device currently signed in to your Wayo Ads account.

  • Each row shows the device type and when it was last active.
  • This device is marked so you know which session you are using now.
  • Revoke signs out that device immediately — useful if you do not recognize it.
  • Sign out all other devices keeps only your current browser or app signed in.
You cannot revoke the device you are currently using from this list — use Sign out from the profile menu instead.

Trusted Devices

Trusted devices are browsers or phones that have been approved to sign in without repeating email approval every time. They appear under Settings → Security → Trusted devices — separate from Active sessions.

  • Your first device is registered automatically after a successful sign-in.
  • Later devices need email approval ("Yes, it's me") before they become trusted.
  • Forget removes a device from the trusted list — useful if you no longer use it or do not recognize it.
  • After you forget a device, the next sign-in from it requires email approval again.
You cannot forget the device you are currently using. Forgetting a device does not always end an open session — also revoke it under Active sessions if it is still signed in.

Email Verification

Some accounts may be asked to verify their email with a 6-digit code sent by email. If you see the Verify your email page, enter the code and click Verify. You can resend the email or sign out if needed. Check your spam folder if the message does not arrive.

  • Enter the 6-digit code from your email.
  • Click Verify to confirm ownership of your address.
  • Use Resend verification email if the code expired.

Notifications & new devices

When you sign in from a new browser or phone while you already have at least one trusted device on your account, Wayo Ads blocks the sign-in until you approve it by email. For other notification preferences, use Settings → Notifications:

New device approval (strict)

If you try to sign in from an unknown device, login is refused and you receive an email with a "Yes, it's me" button. After you confirm, return to Sign In on that device — it will be registered and login will succeed. Your first device is registered automatically with no approval step. If you ignore the email, the attempt stays blocked.

Active sessions

After a successful sign-in, open Settings → Security → Active sessions to review or revoke sessions you no longer use.

Trusted devices

Open Settings → Security → Trusted devices and use Forget on any device you no longer use so it must pass email approval again next time.

Good Habits

  • Use a strong, unique password for your Wayo account (or keep your Google/Apple account secure).
  • Review Active sessions regularly and revoke sessions you no longer use.
  • Forget trusted devices you no longer use so they need email approval again.
  • Do not share your login or verification codes with anyone.
  • Sign out on shared computers when you are done.
  • Keep email notifications enabled if you want emails about payments, campaigns, or withdrawals.

Privacy & Cookies

Wayo Ads encrypts data in transit and follows the practices described in our legal pages. Payment card details are handled by Stripe — Wayo Ads does not store your full card number.

Delete Account

If you want to permanently close your Wayo Ads account, use Settings → Danger Zone. Deletion is scheduled with a 30-day grace period so you can cancel before data is removed. Withdraw creator earnings or use advertiser wallet funds first.

Full steps and what is deleted are in the Account resource guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Wayo Ads support two-factor authentication (2FA)?

Not currently. You can protect your account with a strong password (or secure Google/Apple sign-in), active session management, and email verification when required.

Is the email verification code the same as 2FA?

No. The 6-digit code on the Verify your email page confirms you own your email address. It is not an ongoing two-factor login step.

Someone signed in on my account — what should I do?

If you did not attempt this sign-in, ignore the email and change your password immediately (or secure your Google/Apple account). Open Settings → Security, revoke unknown sessions, forget unknown trusted devices, and review pending requests.

What is the difference between Active sessions and Trusted devices?

Active sessions are devices currently signed in — Revoke ends that login now. Trusted devices are approved for future sign-ins without email approval each time — Forget removes that approval so the next login needs email confirmation again.

Where is my data stored and who can access it?

See the Privacy Policy for what we collect, why, and how long we keep it. Wayo Ads does not sell your personal data.
