Adjust Tone & Energy

A Content Lab tool that analyzes presentation tone, energy mapping, and delivery style — then returns a 0–100 Tone & Delivery Score with actionable coaching tips.

Overview

Adjust Tone & Energy sits in Content Lab under Creative Optimization. Open the dashboard sidebar menu: Go Viral → Content Lab (creator account, desktop), load a public or unlisted YouTube video, then run Adjust Tone & Energy. Each run costs 3 AI credits — the same cost as other Content Lab video-analysis tools.

This is an AI delivery / vocal-coaching estimate. It is not a retention guarantee, not YouTube Analytics, and not a promise that applying the tips will hit a specific watch-time.

How to run

  1. 1Sign in as a creator. In the dashboard sidebar menu, open Go Viral → Content Lab (desktop).
  2. 2Import a video: paste a public or unlisted YouTube URL, pick one from your vault, or use a video saved via the Wayo Ads Saver extension.
  3. 3In Creative Optimization, choose Adjust Tone & Energy and run it (3 credits).
  4. 4Read the three sub-scores (progress bars + radar), the overall Tone & Delivery Score, the one-line verdict, the Tone Profile Map, and 3–5 coaching tips.
You receive 100 free credits when your token wallet is created. Credits are deducted only after a successful analysis result. With a transcript, the tool maps opening / mid / closing energy with quotes; without one, it infers tone from title style, thumbnail mood, duration, format, and engagement.

What it uses

On each run, the backend builds a video context block and sends it with the analysis prompt. Delivery coaching uses title, format, and engagement — plus transcript quotes and thumbnail mood when available.

  • Title and channel name (writing style cues: casual vs formal, energetic vs calm)
  • Engagement stats when present: views, likes, comments
  • Metadata when present: video type (e.g. Short vs long), duration, publish date

Fetched when available

  • Spoken transcript / captions (tone shifts, pace, personality quotes; trimmed for length)
  • Thumbnail description (expression and mood cues)
Without a transcript, the tool still runs with equal confidence and does not mention the absence. It infers tone and delivery from title writing style, thumbnail expression and mood, video duration, format, and audience engagement patterns.

Scoring framework

The model scores three pillars for the UI bars and radar, then produces one overall Tone & Delivery Score (0–100). Tone optimization recommendations and coaching tips frame the analysis — not a separate calculator in the UI. Unlike some Lab tools, this prompt does not assign fixed percentage weights.

Current Tone Profile

  • Overall energy level (low / medium / high / dynamic)
  • Formality level (casual / semi-formal / professional)
  • Emotional range (monotone vs varied)
  • Vocabulary sophistication level

Energy Mapping

  • Opening energy (first 15 seconds)
  • Mid-content energy (middle third)
  • Closing energy (final section)
  • Energy dips and spikes identified

Delivery Style Analysis

  • Speaking pace assessment
  • Sentence structure (short punchy vs long flowing)
  • Humor / personality injection points
  • Audience connection moments

Tone Optimization Recommendations

  • Energy adjustments by section
  • Vocabulary tuning suggestions
  • Personality amplification opportunities
  • Audience-matching tone calibration

What you get

The response is markdown structured for the Content Lab result UI.

  • Three sub-scores in bold key-value form — Current Tone Profile, Energy Mapping, and Delivery Style — each as XX / 100 (progress bars + radar).
  • One overall heading: ## Tone & Delivery Score: XX / 100, followed by a one-line verdict and 3–5 actionable delivery coaching tips.
  • A Tone Profile Map with specific transcript references when available — quotes use > blockquotes.
  • Never empty bullet points or placeholders.
Scores and coaching tips are model judgments for learning and iteration — not a retention guarantee or a copy of YouTube Analytics.

Case study

Illustrative composite scenario for documentation — not a live client report. Scores below show the tool result UI; they are model judgments, not a retention guarantee.

Scenario

An anonymous creator coaches delivery on a “budget laptop review” long-form video — strong casual open, flat mid-roll, and a rushed outro.

Context (inputs available)

  • Transcript available — quotable energy shifts
  • Title style: casual / energetic
  • Thumbnail mood: excited face expression
  • Long-form duration metadata
  • Cost: 3 AI credits

Tone & Delivery Score

0 – 100

Casual high-energy open matches the thumb — mid-roll flattens into list-reading; rebuild spikes before each laptop reveal.

Tone Profile Map

"Alright — three laptops under $500, and only one survived my week of abuse."
  • Opening: high / casual / varied — strong stake + personality.
  • Mid: medium → low — long flowing sentences while reading specs.
  • Close: rushed — soft thank-you without matching opening energy.

Coaching tips

  • Before each model: one short punchy line that resets stakes.
  • Cut mid-roll sentence length; alternate 1 punchy claim + 1 proof.
  • Close by echoing the opening stake (“only one survived”) instead of a soft outro.
  • Keep humor beats tied to failures — amplify personality where energy dips.

Takeaways

  • Map opening / mid / close separately — a strong cold open can still lose mid-roll energy.
  • Quote real delivery lines when captions exist; paraphrase hides flat stretches.
  • Match outro energy to the open so the Tone Profile feels intentional, not exhausted.
